Michael Georgetti

Installation
May 12 - June 18, 2011

Through painting, sculpture, installation and film, Michael Georgetti explores the duality of human behavior and technology. He is interested in the way thoughts and feelings manifest within the mechanical and constructed environments we create around us.

Often Georgetti’s anthropomorphic sculptures either move or fall apart, commenting both on the impermanence of the material world and the precarious relationships between art and the everyday. By using a broad range of commercial and industrial materials held together by bandages, tape and rope, he further comments on the way we choose to build the world around us.
