Camilo Godoy
Lecture Demonstration: A Short Account of the Destruction

February 16, 2018 | 7 - 9PM

As part of AC Institute’s Performance Series for the month of February, Camilo Godoy presents Lecture Demonstration: A Short Account of the Destruction. This performance brings together the artist’s research on writings by Europeans who describe the dance and sexual practices of non-European people in the colonial period. Through this performance, Godoy addresses the representation of sexual desire in dance to celebrate sexual freedom, and challenge the normative and structured sexual politics of our conservative moment.
